Next month will see the inaugural running of the first Royal Drive that will see 60 of the Middle East’s finest supercars taking part in a Gumball style rally across the Emirates. The 2-day event will start on the 18th of March in Abu Dhabi at the state-of-the art Yas Marina Formula One circuit where participants will be able to put their cars through their paces around the challenging state-of-the art circuit. The sound of 60 exotic cars making their way through the pit-lane tunnel exit should be a special experience. From the Yas circuit the multi-million dollar convoy will head towards the sweeping Abu Dhabi Corniche and then snake its way along a designated route to Dubai with a pit-stop at Jumeirah Beach Residence’s The Walk where the cars will be put on display for spectators to enjoy and admire them.

As you’d expect from an event called Royal Drive there will be a big emphasis on luxury to ensure the cars and their owners are pampered along the way, but the focus of the event is clearly the driving. The aim of the organisers is for it to be a celebration of the supercar. You can expect to see everything from Lamborghini’s and Ferrari’s to Carrera GT’s and SLR’s taking part in the action.
