Infiniti has updated its G37 saloon for 2009 with a new powertrain. Under the bonnet is now a lighter 3.7-litre 24v V6 producing 330bhp at a peaky 7,000rpm and 282lb ft of torque at 5200rpm. There’s also a new 7-speed transmission as standard with shorter ratios from first to fourth, and an overdrive seventh.

To improve the driving experience, the engine now also features Infiniti’s Variable Valve Event and Lift technology, which Infiniti says improves throttle response and gives a flatter torque curve. It’s also mounted as low and as far back as possible, with most of the block behind the front axle line.

Styling-wise, it has remained the same, with the low front bumper separated into three intakes and the Infiniti’s wraparound headlights dominating the front of the car.
The updated G37 saloon is priced at around $ 48,000.
