27-year old Kuwaiti Sony PlayStation gamer, Ahmad El Azmi, from Kuwait City was recently flown to Japan after he wasted away his thumbs racing the virtual Nissan GT-R against regional finalists at Dubai Festival City – becoming the inaugural winner of the Gran Turismo5 Prologue Middle East Challenge. Organised in association with Nissan Middle East the event saw over 10,000 competitors compete in nine regional cities across the Middle East. The prizes included a PlayStation3 console and a copy of the Gran Turismo5 Prologue. In addition, Nissan also arranged for game-addict Ahmad and a friend to fly to Japan and test drive the real Nissan GT-R supercar on track. It was the first time they’d seen daylight in well over three years!
