Infiniti G37 convertible

Popular japanese sportscar gets folding metal hard top and four seats

Infiniti G37 convertible

Infiniti Middle East has unveiled its new drop-top, the G37 Convertible. The coupe’s four seats have been retained (just), as has the 3.7-litre 328bhp VQ-series V6, running through a 7-speed auto with magnesium paddle shifters.

The important roof is now a three-piece folding metal hard-top and takes 25 seconds to electronically tuck itself into the rear. To maintain the G37’s dynamics, the rear suspension has been modified, it’s now 30mm wider at the rear and has an increased track. All body panels from the A-pillar back are new.

Weighing an additional 200kg over the coupe will hamper the G37’s performance, so 0-100kph times are likely to be just under the 7sec mark and the same 250kph top speed.

Looks-wise, the rear lights are now ever-so-slightly more modern, the back end is more compact and is now finished in chrome.

Prices range from $ 62,000 to $ 64,000, if you spec the fancy redwood trim.
